En el rostro del entendido aparece la sabiduría, mas los ojos del necio vagan hasta el extremo de la tierra. Proverbios 17:24 / A discerning person keeps wisdom in view, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.  Proverbs 17:24

 

La meta de toda persona inteligente es ser sabia. Adquiriendo sabiduría, ella administra la vida de un modo tal que acaba siendo feliz y haciendo felices a las personas que la rodean.  / The goal of every intelligent person is to be wise. Acquiring wisdom, she/he manages life in such a way that she/he ends up being happy and making the people around her/him happy.

 

Tú no compras sabiduría en las sofisticadas tiendas del mundo. Es una piedra preciosa que no tiene precio. Los seres humanos la buscan por todos lados y no la encuentran. El versículo de hoy dice que "los ojos del necio vagan hasta el extremo de la tierra". Todos tratan de realizarse, buscan prosperidad, éxito y bienes materiales. Creen que la felicidad es el resultado de conseguir esas cosas. Se engañan. La vida les muestra el error.  / You do not buy wisdom in the world's fancy stores. It is a precious stone that is priceless. Human beings look for it everywhere and can't find it. Today's verse says that "fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth." Everyone tries to fulfill themselves, they seek prosperity, success and material goods. They believe that happiness is the result of achieving those things. They are deceived. Life shows them the error.

 

Si tú quieres felicidad, busca la sabiduría y verás la vida desde un prisma correcto. La existencia tiene sentido. Las cosas o la falta de cosas, no impiden disfrutar de la vida en su plenitud.  / If you want happiness, look for wisdom and you will see life from a correct prism. Existence makes sense. Things or the lack of things do not prevent you from enjoying life to the full.

 

¿Dónde encontrar sabiduría? El apóstol Pablo dice, refiriéndose a Jesús: "En quien están escondidos todos los tesoros de la sabiduría y del conocimiento". * y escribiendo a los corintios, confirma esta verdad: "Cristo poder de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios". **  / Where to find wisdom? The apostle Paul says, referring to Jesus: "In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." * and writing to the Corinthians, he confirms this truth: "Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." **

 

En otra parte del libro de los Proverbios, la sabiduría dice acerca de sí misma: "Antes de los abismos fui engendrada; antes de que fuesen las fuentes de las muchas aguas". *** Este versículo nos confirma que la sabiduría no es algo abstracto. Jesús es la propia sabiduría y cuando tú acudes a El y convives con El, todos los días, en todas las circunstancias, tus decisiones no son tan solo tuyas, sino inspiradas en el mismo Señor Jesucristo. Tú decides con sabiduría.  / In another part of the book of Proverbs, Wisdom says about herself: "Before the depths I was begotten; before the fountains of many waters were." *** This verse confirms that wisdom is not something abstract. Jesus is wisdom itself and when you go to Him and live with Him, every day, in all circumstances, your decisions are not only yours, but inspired by the Lord Jesus Christ himself. You decide wisely.

 

Sin sabiduría, el ser humano vive hiriéndose. Por buenas que sean sus intenciones, por puras que le parezcan sus motivaciones, ellas nacen de un corazón egoísta y están condenadas a acabar en la esfera humana.  / Without wisdom, the human being lives hurting himself. No matter how good their intentions may be, no matter how pure their motivations may seem to them, they are born from a selfish heart and are doomed to end up in the human sphere.

 

Los valores espirituales, que vencen las circunstancias más difíciles de la vida, solo pueden encontrarse en Jesús.  / Spiritual values, which overcome life's most difficult circumstances, can only be found in Jesus.

 

Habla con El hoy antes de enfrentar los diferentes caminos que la vida te presenta. Consulta con El antes de tomar la decisión que necesitas tomar, porque: "En el rostro del entendido aparece la sabiduría, mas los ojos del necio vagan hasta el extremo de la tierra".  / Talk to Him today before you face the different paths that life throws your way. Consult with Him before making the decision you need to make, because: " A discerning person keeps wisdom in view, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth."

Vengan, postrémonos reverentes, doblemos la rodilla ante el Señor nuestro Hacedor. Salmos 95:6 / Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalms 95:6 

Nuestro siglo vive la banalización de Dios. La tendencia humana es hacerlo pequeño e insignificante. El concepto bíblico de Dios es diferente. Para la cultura moderna Dios es una simple energía, aura, luz o influencia. Dios es Dios, soberano y eterno, Creador de los cielos y de la tierra. Dios personal y presente en la vida humana. / Our century lives the trivialization of God. The human tendency is to make it small and insignificant. The biblical concept of God is different. For modern culture God is a simple energy, aura, light or influence. God is God, sovereign and eternal, Creator of heaven and earth. God personal and present in human life.

El salrnista nos invita a que todos nos unamos a él en la oración y en el reconocimiento de la grandeza del Creador: "Arrodillémonos", dice el profeta, usando la palabra hebrea barak que significa, literalmente, reconocer que Dios siempre tiene la razón. Él nunca se equivoca. Sus consejos son sabios y tienen por objeto la felicidad humana, aunque para la criatura parezcan no tener sentido. / The psalmist invites us all to join him in prayer and in acknowledging the greatness of the Creator: "Let us kneel", says the prophet, using the Hebrew word barak, which literally means acknowledging that God is always right. He is never wrong. His advice is wise and is aimed at human happiness, even though it seems meaningless to the creature.

El misterio de Sus designios, no significa arbitrariedad. No es el padre airado que le grita al hijo: "¡Cállate la boca, tú solamente obedece!" Ese aparente misterio parece indescifrable al ser humano, limitado por valores mezquinos y terrenales. Pero un día, cuando la criatura sea liberada de su naturaleza humana, todo será aclarado. / The mystery of His designs does not mean arbitrariness. It is not the angry father who yells at the son: "Shut the fuck up, you just obey!" That apparent mystery seems indecipherable to the human being, limited by petty and earthly values. But one day, when the creature is freed from its human nature, everything will be made clear.

Cuando mi hijo mayor aprendió a gatear se sentía fascinado por los toma corrientes eléctricos. Le gustaba poner el dedito en las aberturas y exponerse al peligro mortal de una electrocución. A su tierna edad, sería inútil explicarle a una criatura de apenas nueve meses la reacción que podría producir la unión del polo positivo con el negativo. Cuando yo le gritaba: "¡No!", era solo por el bien de mi hijo, aunque fuese incapaz de comprender. / When my oldest son learned to crawl, he was fascinated by electrical outlets. He liked to put his finger in the openings and expose himself to the mortal danger of electrocution. At his tender age, it would be useless to explain to a child barely nine months old the reaction that the union of the positive pole with the negative pole could produce. When I yelled at him, "No!", it was only for my son's sake, even if he was unable to understand.

Esta es la razón que el salmista da en el texto de hoy para adorar a Dios. "Arrodillémonos", dice él, reconozcamos que Dios es Dios, que nunca se equivoca y que solo quiere nuestro bien. / This is the reason that the psalmist gives in today's text to worship God. "let us bow down in worship," he says, let's recognize that God is God, that He is never wrong and that He only wants our good.

Si tú depositaste tu vida en las manos de Dios, a pesar de eso, las cosas no saldrán siempre como a ti te gustaría que saliesen. Pero confía en el Señor, arrodíllate, adóralo, porque El sabe lo que está haciendo y, más pronto de lo que te imaginas, lo entenderás. No te desanimes. Para llegar al puerto de la victoria es necesario navegar con el viento, a veces a favor, a veces en contra, pero no dejar de navegar. / If you deposited your life in God's hands, despite that, things will not always turn out the way you would like them to turn out. But trust in the Lord, kneel down, adore Him, because He knows what He is doing and, sooner than you think, you will understand. Don't be discouraged. To reach the port of victory it is necessary to sail with the wind, sometimes with it, sometimes against it, but never stop sailing.

Por eso, "Vengan, postrémonos reverentes, doblemos la rodilla ante el Señor nuestro Hacedor". / Therefore, "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker."
