Ahora me doy cuenta de la validez del consejo de Steve Jobs: Stay hungry, stay foulish! Dios me mostró como usar la capacitación, no solo para transmitir mis conocimientos sino también para adquirir más clientes para AuroraTech, a través de los Seminarios de Control Automático de Procesos y AUTOMATIZACION DE SITUACIONES ANORMALES que inicié a dictar en Colombia, y es mi sueño en todo el mundo también (ya para marzo del 2019 hemos realizado igualmente Charlas de Emprendimiento Tecnologico y Emprendimiento Digital en Lima, Arequipa y Bogota). Mi primer Seminario lo dicté en la Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga a finales de marzo de 2017. Hablé de cómo incrementar la Seguridad de Procesos, a través de tecnologías como Gerenciamiento de Alarmas, Detección y Diagnóstico de Fallos, y Control Tolerante a Fallos. / Now I realize the validity of Steve Jobs' advice: Stay hungry, stay foulish! God showed me how to use training, not only to share my knowledge but also to acquire more clients for AuroraTech, through the Automatic Process Control and Abnormal Situations Automation seminars that I started teaching in Colombia, and it's my dream to do so worldwide as well (by March 2019, we had also held Technological Entrepreneurship and Digital Entrepreneurship talks in Lima, Arequipa, and Bogotá). I gave my first seminar at the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga at the end of March 2017. I spoke about how to increase Process Safety through technologies such as Alarm Management, Fault Detection and Diagnosis, and Fault-Tolerant Control.

Muchas veces en la vida estamos frente a Encrucijadas, en frente el mar, y por detrás el ejército Egipcio. Debemos avanzar, con confianza en Dios (Exodo 14). 1 Corintios 10:13 Dios da la salida junto con la prueba. Dios me mostró la luz al final del túnel de las pruebas por las que he estado atravesando. Los seminarios sobre Control Automático de Procesos y AUTOMATIZACION DE SITUACIONES ANORMALES son parte de la respuesta. / Many times in life we face crossroads, with the sea before us and the Egyptian army behind us. We must move forward, trusting in God (Exodus 14). 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that God provides a way out even with the trial. God showed me the light at the end of the tunnel of trials I have been going through. The seminars on Automatic Process Control and ABNORMAL SITUATIONS AUTOMATION are part of the answer.

Ahora entiendo que Romanos 8:28 aplica muy bien en mi caso. Las cosas buenas y también las malas actúan para bien: Si no hubiera estado en esa necesidad tan apremiante, si no se me hubieran cerrado las puertas incluso de los amigos más allegados, si no se hubiera dilatado la venta de los apartamentos, si no me estuvieran persiguiendo las deudas millonarias con bancos y otras personas, tal vez yo no me habría esforzado como lo he hecho para salir adelante con AuroraTech, haciendo Marketing de nuestro portafolio, haciendo socios en diferentes lugares del mundo. / Now I understand that Romans 8:28 applies perfectly to my situation. Good things and bad things work together for good: If I hadn't been in such dire need, if even my closest friends hadn't turned their backs on me, if the sale of the apartments hadn't been delayed, if I weren't being pursued by millions in debt to banks and other people, perhaps I wouldn't have worked so hard to get ahead with AuroraTech, marketing our portfolio, and building partnerships in different parts of the world.

El 2017 inició para mi hijo, su mamá y yo, viviendo en el apartamento que ha sido nuestro hogar desde antes que me diera el derrame cerebral. Durante este año la mamá de mi hijo y yo sanamos muchas heridas que estaban abiertas a raíz de nuestra separación y divorcio. Y aunque aún no ha habido una reconciliación como pareja, ella me brindó su amistad y apoyo financiero en esta etapa dura de convertirme en Emprendedor. Ella me dio sabios consejos: Lo que la atormentó por 13 años de matrimonio que tuvimos fué sentir que yo no le daba el lugar de esposa por estar pendiente de las necesidades de otros hogares. Según ella eso es peor que si yo hubiera tenido una amante. Debo aprender a no interponerme en las situaciones difíciles que deben pasar mis seres queridos. Puedo animarlos y darles palabras de aliento, pero nunca tomar la posición de proveedor en sus vidas. El único y verdadero proveedor es Dios. / 2017 began for my son, his mother, and me, living in the apartment that has been our home since before my stroke. During this year, my son's mother and I healed many wounds that were open as a result of our separation and divorce. And although we haven't yet reconciled as a couple, she offered me her friendship and financial support during this difficult period of becoming an entrepreneur. She gave me wise advice: What tormented her during our 13 years of marriage was feeling that I didn't treat her as a wife because I was always attending to the needs of other families. According to her, that's worse than if I had had a mistress. I must learn not to interfere in the difficult situations my loved ones face. I can encourage them and offer words of support, but I should never take on the role of provider in their lives. The only true provider is God.

Yo no sé si la voluntad de Dios es que ella y yo seamos felices juntos, ó con otras personas, ó solos. Lo que sí sé es que, si permanecemos tomados de la mano de Dios, todo estará bien. / I don't know if it's God's will for her and me to be happy together, or with other people, or alone. What I do know is that if we stay hand in hand with God, everything will be alright.

Debo mantener el Norte claro por más torrencial que sea la borrasca. Mi Brújula siempre debe guiarme, y no debo perder el rumbo. / I must keep my bearings clear, no matter how torrential the storm. My compass must always guide me, and I must not lose my way.

Con respecto a mi ex esposa debo decir que no sé que ocurra. La presente situación es fruto de errores mutuos que cometimos. Pero yo le causé mucho daño al no ponerle la adecuada atención cuando éramos esposos. No sé si sus heridas puedan sanar. Lo que cierto es que en este momento debo poner un freno a la carrera desaforada en la que estoy hace varios años, por compartir la palabra de Dios con todo el mundo, y debo prestarle más atención a mi familia. El que hace la obra es Dios (Filipenses 2:13). Pero no debo cansarme de sembrar (Salmos 126:6). / Regarding my ex-wife, I must say I don't know what will happen. The current situation is the result of mutual mistakes we made. But I caused her a lot of harm by not giving her the proper attention when we were married. I don't know if her wounds can heal. What is certain is that at this moment I must put the brakes on the frantic race I've been on for several years, sharing the word of God with everyone, and I must pay more attention to my family. God is the one who does the work (Philippians 2:13). But I must not grow weary of sowing (Psalm 126:6).

Comencé a implementar la estrategia para servir a la Industria, llenando sus necesidades con prácticas de mis estudiantes sin ningún costo, al mismo tiempo que les permitía abrirse un espacio en el campo laboral y ganar experiencia. Lo anterior tiene varios objetivos: / I began implementing a strategy to serve the industry by fulfilling its needs with internships for my students at no cost, while simultaneously allowing them to gain experience and enter the workforce. This has several objectives:

Desarrollar de manera práctica los conceptos vistos en clase. / To develop in a practical way the concepts seen in class.

Satisfacer necesidades que posee la Industria en los temas cubiertos en clase. / To meet the needs of the industry in the topics covered in class.

Generar opciones de trabajo claras para el estudiante. / Generate clear job options for the student.

Desarrollar en el estudiante el espíritu Emprendedor. / To develop an entrepreneurial spirit in the student.

Comencé a ver la realización del sueño cuando inicié clases en las Universidades, AUTOMATIZACION DE SITUACIONES ANORMALES, y comenzaron a llamarme colegas porque estaban interesados en replicar este modelo de enseñanza en sus universidades. Me pidieron varios amigos de la industria participar de este programa de formación para aplicar estas tecnologías en sus empresas (en el 2019 ya tenemos varios clientes industriales, y he podido ver las mejoras en las empresas que hemos servido; les pido sus oraciones por la campaña de Emprendimiento Tecnológico y Emprendimiento Digital que hemos iniciado en Peru) Romanos 8:28. / I began to see the realization of the dream when I started teaching at universities, AUTOMATION OF ABNORMAL SITUATIONS, and colleagues began calling me because they were interested in replicating this teaching model at their universities. Several friends in industry asked me to participate in this training program to apply these technologies in their companies (in 2019 we already have several industrial clients, and I have been able to see the improvements in the companies we have served; I ask for your prayers for the Technological Entrepreneurship and Digital Entrepreneurship campaign that we have started in Peru ( Romans 8:28).

La mejor manera de conseguir recursos financieros para cumplir tus sueños es conseguir clientes que paguen por tus productos o servicios. La mejor manera no es prestar dinero. Eso no significa que debemos ver a todo el mundo como clientes. Debemos desarrollar relaciones sanas con los demás, amistades. Las personas necesitamos relacionarnos con otras personas. Crear comunidad. / The best way to obtain the financial resources to fulfill your dreams is to acquire customers who pay for your products or services. The best way is not to lend money. That doesn't mean we should see everyone as a customer. We should develop healthy relationships with others, friendships. People need to connect with other people. To create community.

Entender esto es parte del cambio de mentalidad de empleado a Emprendedor. Empecé a cambiar mi mentalidad de empleado a Emprendedor. No podía vivir quejándome de las oportunidades que no me fueron dadas durante mi retiro. Tenía que ver las grandes oportunidades que tenía delante de mí y las puertas abiertas que tenía en la academia. / Understanding this is part of the shift in mindset from employee to entrepreneur. I began to change my mindset from employee to entrepreneur. I couldn't live complaining about the opportunities I wasn't given during my retirement. I had to see the great opportunities in front of me and the open doors I had in academia.

Otro punto fundamental para tener confianza, seguridad en la vida es entender que gracias a Jesús tenemos acceso a nuestro Padre celestial. Has sido rechazado? En Jesus desaparecen los miedos y temores. No hay más lugar para la inseguridad. / Another key to having confidence and security in life is understanding that through Jesus we have access to our Heavenly Father. Have you been rejected? In Jesus, fears and anxieties disappear. There is no more room for insecurity.

Dí mis primeros pasos como Empresario. Tengo temores, pero sobre todo tengo fé en Dios y Sus promesas. He descubierto que es ayudando a los otros, que realmente nos ayudamos a nosotros mismos. / I took my first steps as an entrepreneur. I have fears, but above all, I have faith in God and His promises. I have discovered that by helping others, we truly help ourselves.

Lancé mi primera campaña de CrowdFunding a finales de noviembre. No hubo resultados positivos. Celebré el Día de Acción de Gracias en soledad, debido a que mi hijo estaba compartiendo con su mamá. Le di gracias a Dios porque me ha mostrado la luz al final del túnel de las pruebas por las que he atravesado los últimos meses. Me ha mostrado cómo pagar las deudas que me han inundado hasta el punto de deber varios meses de renta. Oficialicé mi decisión de renunciar con mis jefes. Esta decisión ya la había comentado con ellos desde mediados de septiembre, pero ellos no habían realizado las acciones conducentes a aminorar el duro golpe que representaba mi dimisión para mi equipo de trabajo, tal vez esperando que yo lo pensara mejor. Todo comienza con un pensamiento. Por eso hay que pensar siempre POSITIVO. / I celebrated Thanksgiving alone, as my son was spending it with his mother. I thanked God for showing me the light at the end of the tunnel of trials I've faced these past few months. He has shown me how to pay off the debts that have overwhelmed me to the point of owing several months' rent. I officially informed my bosses of my decision to resign. I had already discussed this decision with them in mid-September, but they hadn't taken any steps to lessen the blow my resignation would represent for my team, perhaps hoping I would reconsider. Everything begins with a thought. That's why we must always think POSITIVELY.

A medida que se acercaba el 31 de diciembre 2016, fecha de mi desvinculación como funcionario debido a mi renuncia, mi ansiedad crecía. Esto es una pequeña muestra de que la confianza del ser humano está puesta en el dinero y las circunstancias, no en Dios. Yo tengo un plan claro y trazado con AuroraTech y las Universidades, me respalda mi Señor Jesús en cada paso que doy. Y aun asi tengo temores. Qué será del resto del mundo? Me di cuenta del motivo del temor irracional a la falta de dinero: Como empleado estaba acostumbrado a que mi proveedor fuera la empresa en la que trabajé durante 18 años. Esa empresa ya no está más ahí para suplir un salario. Ahora debe ser mi trabajo y satisfacer las necesidades de mis clientes, lo que debe suplir dicho ingreso. Nuestro proveedor es Dios, y El coloca como intermediarios a los clientes y las empresas para los que realizamos nuestro trabajo. Lo que pasa es que en muchos casos convertimos en dioses a las empresas, a los jefes, pensando que son ellos los proveedores, cuando en realidad son tan solo intermediarios. Gracias Dios por destruir esa creencia en mi vida, y la de tantas personas que aprenden que no son los hombres, sino Dios, quien da la provisión espiritual, física y material. / As December 31, 2016, the date of my resignation and termination of employment, approached, my anxiety grew. This is a small example of how human trust is placed in money and circumstances, not in God. I have a clear and well-defined plan with AuroraTech and the universities, and my Lord Jesus supports me every step of the way. And yet, I still have fears. What will become of the rest of the world? I realized the reason for this irrational fear of a lack of money: As an employee, I was accustomed to the company I worked for for 18 years being my provider. That company is no longer there to provide a salary. Now, my work and meeting the needs of my clients must provide that income. Our provider is God, and He places clients and the companies we work for as intermediaries. The problem is that in many cases, we deify companies and bosses, thinking they are the providers, when in reality they are merely intermediaries. Thank God for destroying that belief in my life, and in the lives of so many people who learn that it is not men, but God, who provides spiritual, physical, and material provision.
