El corazón del sabio hace prudente su boca, y añade gracia a sus labios. Proverbios 16:23. / The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction. Proverbs 16:23 

Tengo en mis manos un libro titulado Siete secretos para una comunicación persuasiva. Habla de técnicas, de psicología, de los principios que llevan a las personas a tomar decisiones, pero no menciona en ninguna parte lo que el texto bíblico de hoy enseña. El mencionado libro fue publicado en varias lenguas y es comprado y leído por todas las personas interesadas en el campo de las comunicaciones. / I have in my hands a book called Seven Secrets to Persuasive Communication. It talks about techniques, about psychology, about the principles that lead people to make decisions, but it does not mention anywhere what today's biblical text teaches. The aforementioned book was published in several languages and is bought and read by all people interested in the field of communications.

El principio bíblico de una comunicación persuasiva es diferente. No consiste en lo que tú hablas, ni con quién hablas, sino que se trata de lo que tú eres. El fundamento de la comunicación poderosa está en el corazón. / The biblical principle of persuasive communication is different. It's not about what you talk about, or who you talk to, it's about who you are. The foundation of powerful communication is in the heart.

"El corazón del sabio hace prudente su boca", dice el texto. Es lo que tú eres lo que da fuerza a lo que tú dices. Las personas generalmente hacen lo que ven. Escuchan tus palabras, pero siguen tus pisadas. Pueden, por algún motivo, dudar de lo que tú dices, pero creerán en la coherencia de tu vida. / "The heart of the wise makes his mouth prudent," says the text. It is who you are that gives strength to what you say. People generally do what they see. They listen to your words, but follow your footsteps. They may, for some reason, doubt what you say, but they will believe in the coherence of your life.

Todos los días, en todos los lugares, por voluntad propia o no, estamos vendiendo nuestra imagen. Si las personas compran tu producto, tú te sentirás realizado y feliz. De otro modo, la frustración llenará tu vida de amargura. / Every day, in all places, by choice or not, we are selling our image. If people buy your product, you will feel fulfilled and happy. Otherwise, frustration will fill your life with bitterness.

Ese tipo de venta es comunicación. Tú eres un comunicador. Estás vivo, estás comunicando, y necesitas ser persuasivo en lo que haces. Solo que la persuasión no es un asunto de técnica, ni tiene clichés aprendidos. No tiene nada que ver con gestos o sonrisas prefabricadas. Todo eso es artificial, y tarde o temprano, las personas se dan cuenta. / That kind of selling is communication. You are a communicator. You are alive, you are communicating, and you need to be persuasive in what you do. Only that persuasion is not a matter of technique, nor does it have learned clichés. It has nothing to do with gestures or prefabricated smiles. All of that is artificial, and sooner or later, people realize it.

La persuasión tiene que ver con el corazón y la vida. Tú te encuentras con Jesús. Él te transforma, y a partir de ese momento, tú comienzas a vivir con sabiduría. Tu corazón es un manantial de sentimientos nobles, altruistas y genuinos. No es nada pensado. Nada fabricado. Ni estudiado, ni aprendido. Tú simplemente eres lo que Jesús hizo de ti, y eso es un cuadro maravilloso que deslumbra a mucha gente. Tú no te das cuenta. Los otros, sí. / Persuasion has to do with the heart and life. You meet Jesus. He transforms you, and from that moment on, you begin to live wisely. Your heart is a source of noble, altruistic and genuine feelings. It is nothing thought. Nothing manufactured. Neither studied nor learned. You are simply what Jesus made you, and that is a wonderful picture that dazzles many people. You don't realize it. The others, yes.

Haz de este día un día de entrega a Jesús. Entrégale el corazón para ser transformado. Llora a sus pies. Cuéntale tus luchas y confía en El, porque "El corazón del sabio hace prudente su boca, y añade. gracia a sus labios". / Make this day a day of dedication to Jesus. Give Him your heart to be transformed. Cry at His feet. Tell Him about your struggles and trust Him, because "The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction."

En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y El los libró de su aflicción. Salmos 107:6 / Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. Psalms 107:6

La decisión que tomé aquella tarde, me pareció acertada: Estábamos en Terra de Areia, un pequeño pueblo al sur del Brasil. Pensé que si seguíamos aquel atajo de tierra, llegaríamos más rápido a Capáo da Canoa, la playa donde pasaríamos la noche. Mi esposa y mis hijos concordaron con la decisión. / The decision I made that afternoon seemed right to me: We were in Terra de Areia, a small town in southern Brazil. I thought that if we followed that land shortcut, we would reach Capao da Canoa, the beach where we would spend the night, faster. My wife and children agreed with the decision.

Durante los primeros kilómetros todo iba bien, hasta que llegamos a un camino lleno de pozos y piedras. Se nos dañaron dos ruedas, y no teníamos cómo resolver el problema. Anochecía y estábamos en la carretera solitaria y lejos de cualquier ayuda. "Hijos -dije impaciente-, escoger este camino fue la peor decisión que podríamos haber hecho". ¡Mentira! En aquellas circunstancias, la peor decisión fue permitir que el desánimo entrase en mi corazón. / During the first kilometers everything was going well, until we came to a path full of holes and stones. Two wheels were damaged, and we had no way to solve the problem. It was getting dark and we were on the lonely road and far from any help. "Children," I said impatiently, "choosing this path was the worst decision we could have made." Lie! In those circumstances, the worst decision was to allow discouragement to enter my heart.

Todos los días, en todos los lugares, por diferentes motivos, aparecen problemas. Decidir, es el primer paso hacia la solución. La decisión que tú tomes hoy en relación a cualquier obstáculo, no es sobre lo que vas a hacer, sino sobre lo que vas a pensar. Si escoges el pensamiento equivocado, entrarás en el camino escabroso de la autocompasión. Si tú clamas a Dios y le permites que enriquezca tus pensamientos, estarás en condiciones de ver la solución del problema. / Every day, in all places, for different reasons, problems appear. Deciding is the first step towards the solution. The decision that you make today in relation to any obstacle is not about what you are going to do, but about what you are going to think. If you choose the wrong thought, you will enter the rocky path of self-pity. If you cry out to God and allow Him to enrich your thoughts, you will be able to see the solution to the problem.

¿Cómo te libra Dios en la hora de la angustia? No necesariamente a través de un milagro. Hay gente que contempla cómo se le va la vida y espera un milagro que nunca sucede. Y la responsabilidad que tú tienes con la misma vida ¿dónde queda? Tú necesitas decidir, aunque la decisión no te lleve inmediatamente hacia la solución del problema. / How does God deliver you in the hour of distress? Not necessarily through a miracle. There are people who watch their lives go by and wait for a miracle that never happens. And where is the responsibility that you have with life itself? You need to decide, even if the decision does not immediately lead to solving the problem.

La reacción natural del ser humano cuando las cosas no salen de la manera que él quiere, es decir: "tuve que hacerlo, no había alternativa". La realidad es que siempre existe la posibilidad de decidir. Siempre. Inclusive cuando no decides, ya decidiste. Decidiste por la mediocridad y el conformismo, que puede esconderse detrás de la expresión: "Estoy esperando en el Señor". / The natural reaction of the human being when things do not go the way he wants, is to say: "I had to do it, there was no alternative." The reality is that there is always the possibility of deciding. Always. Even when you don't decide, you already decided. You decided for mediocrity and conformism, which can be hidden behind the expression: "I am waiting on the Lord."

El salmo de hoy relata la peregrinación de Israel por el desierto. El pueblo estaba perdido. Cualquier decisión que tomase lo llevaría a la ruina. "En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y El los libró de su aflicción". Piensa en eso hoy, antes de tomar cualquier decisión. / Today's psalm recounts Israel's pilgrimage through the desert. The people was lost. Any decision they made would lead to their ruin. "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress." You think about that today, before making any decision.

Cuando viene el impío, viene también el menosprecio, y con el deshonrador la afrenta. Proverbios 18:3. / When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes reproach. Proverbs 18:3

En el libro de Proverbios, la sabiduría y la insensatez son los únicos caminos que el hombre tiene ante sí. Tiene que escoger uno. No decidir es ya caminar por la senda de la insensatez. Al insensato la Biblia lo llama tonto y loco. La palabra hebrea para insensato es enel, que significa "falto de sabiduría". No hay tragedia mayor que la falta de sabiduría. / In the book of Proverbs, wisdom and foolishness are the only paths open to man. He has to pick one. Not deciding is already walking the path of foolishness. The Bible calls the fool fool and crazy. The Hebrew word for foolish is enel, which means "lack of wisdom." There is no greater tragedy than the lack of wisdom.

El insensato cree que sabe todo y que no necesita que nadie le enseñe, y mucho menos si la enseñanza viene de un Dios al que no puede ver ni tocar. Obra tontamente. No tiene conciencia de sus actos. Se enorgullece y se vanagloria de ellos. / The fool believes that he knows everything and that he does not need anyone to teach him, much less if the teaching comes from a God whom he cannot see or touch. He works foolishly. He is not aware of his actions. He is proud and boasts of them.

Según el proverbio de hoy, el fin del insensato es vergüenza e ignominia. / According to today's proverb, the end of the foolish is shame and ignominy.

El tiempo se encarga de exponer su triste realidad ante las personas. Lo hizo con Saúl, el rey loco de Israel que despreció los consejos divinos y vivió una vida insensata, acabando derrotado por sus enemigos. Un día, estos cortaron y colgaron el cuerpo sin cabeza del insensato rey en el muro de Bet-sán, para que todas las personas lo vieran. * / Time is responsible for exposing his sad reality to people. It did it with Saul, the crazy king of Israel who despised divine advice and lived a foolish life, ending up defeated by his enemies. One day, they cut and hung the headless body of the foolish king on the wall of Bet-san, for all people to see. *

Contrariamente a la vida del insensato, el sabio es aquel que escucha y sigue los consejos divinos. Al sabio, Dios lo libra de la vergüenza y de la ignominia. Lo exalta y lo coloca en las alturas de la tierra. / Contrary to the life of the foolish, the wise is one who listens and follows divine advice. To the wise, God frees him from shame and ignominy. He exalts him and places him on the heights of the earth.

Si Dios es la fuente de la sabiduría, la persona es sabia solo cuando vive en permanente compañerismo con El. Esa es la importancia de buscarlo en oración y meditación diaria. Pasar tiempo con Jesús no es perder tiempo. De El viene la inspiración, la sabiduría y la fuerza para vencer. / If God is the source of wisdom, the person is wise only when he lives in permanent fellowship with Him. That is the importance of seeking Him in prayer and daily meditation. Spending time with Jesus is not wasting time. From Him comes inspiration, wisdom and the strength to win.

¿Necesitas sabiduría para tu matrimonio? ¿La necesitas en la vida, en los negocios, en el empleo, en tus relaciones humanas, como padre, como hijo, o simplemente como ser humano? Abre el corazón a Jesús y pídele su orientación para las difíciles situaciones que necesitas enfrentar hoy. Si lo haces así, todo va a salir bien. Si no, acuérdate que "Cuando viene el impío, viene también el menosprecio, y con el deshonrador la afrenta". / Do you need wisdom for your marriage? Do you need it in life, in business, at work, in your human relationships, as a parent, as a child, or simply as a human being? Open your heart to Jesus and ask for His guidance for the difficult situations you need to face today. If you do it like this, everything will be fine. If not, remember that "When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes reproach".

El Señor ama a los que odian el mal; El protege la vida de sus fieles, y los libra de manos de los impíos. Sal. 97: 10 / Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalms 97: 10

Mucha gente, al leer este texto, piensa que es una orden arbitraria de un Dios intransigente. La orden es "aborreced el mal". Lo peor, todavía, es que viene acompañada de un aparente chantaje emocional: "Los que amáis". Los que ven este texto desde este prisma, se olvidan de leer las dos promesas que el texto presenta: "El guarda las almas de sus santos; de mano de los impíos los libra". Ningún consejo divino es arbitrario. Sus órdenes muestran el camino de la felicidad. / Many people, reading this text, think that it is an arbitrary order from an intransigent God. The command is "hate evil." The worst thing, still, is that it is accompanied by an apparent emotional blackmail: "Those who love the Lord." Those who see this text from this prism forget to read the two promises that the text presents: "He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked." No divine advice is arbitrary. His orders show the path of happiness.

¿De qué manera el "amar a Dios y apartarse del mal" guarda el alma de una persona? El mundo inconsciente es misterioso. Hay ocasiones cuando el hombre consciente es poseído por el miedo, no consigue administrar una situación dolorosa, y se esconde; pero el inconsciente no tiene a dónde huir. Él encara las situaciones más dolorosas y reacciona muchas veces a través de males físicos y emocionales. Por tanto, una persona que dice amar a Dios y no se aparta del mal, tarde o temprano, va a ver en su cuerpo o en sus emociones, las heridas que su vida incoherente le produce. / How does "loving God and turning away from evil" save a person's soul? The unconscious world is mysterious. There are occasions when the conscious man is possessed by fear, he cannot manage a painful situation, and hides; but the unconscious has nowhere to run. He faces the most painful situations and often reacts through physical and emotional ills. Therefore, a person who claims to love God and does not turn away from evil, sooner or later, will see in his body or in his emotions, the wounds that his incoherent life causes him.

Cuando Dios aconseja a los que dicen andar en sus caminos, que detesten el mal, no está, simplemente, dando una orden arbitraria, sino que está preocupado por la felicidad de ellos. / When God advises those who claim to walk in His ways to hate evil, He is not simply issuing an arbitrary command, but is concerned with their happiness.

La promesa es "guarda las almas de sus santos; de mano de los impíos los libra". ¿A qué impíos se refiere? En el evangelio de San Mateo está registrada la parábola del deudor que fue perdonado, pero que luego él, a su vez, no quiso perdonar. La condenación para él fue: "Entonces el señor, enojado, le entregó a los verdugos". * Aquel siervo malo fue entregado a sus verdugos porque no había coherencia en su vida. En el texto de hoy, Dios promete a los coherentes librarlos de la mano de sus enemigos, verdugos o fantasmas interiores que perturban el alma de aquel que dice amar a Dios y no se aparta del mal. / The promise is "He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked." What impious are you referring to? In the Gospel of Saint Matthew the parable of the debtor who was forgiven, but then he, in turn, did not want to forgive, is recorded. The condemnation for him was: "In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, " * That evil servant was handed over to his executioners because there was no coherence in his life. In today's text, God promises the coherent to deliver them from the hand of their enemies, executioners or inner ghosts that disturb the soul of those who claim to love God and do not turn away from evil.

Hoy es un nuevo día. Gracias a Dios que cada amanecer trae una nueva oportunidad. Haz de este día, con la ayuda de Dios, un día de coherencia y de victoria. Toma en serio el consejo divino para una vida feliz: "El Señor ama a los que odian el mal; El protege la vida de sus fieles, y los libra de manos de los impíos". / Today is a new day. Thank God that every sunrise brings a new opportunity. Make this day, with God's help, a day of consistency and victory. You take seriously the divine advice for a happy life: "Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked."

El sabio de corazón es llamado prudente, y la dulzura de labios aumenta el saber. Proverbios 16:21 / The wise in heart are called discerning, and gracious words promote instruction. Proverbs 16:21

Palabras! ¡Palabras! ¡Palabras! "Porque por tus palabras serás justificado, y por tus palabras serás condenado" *, dijo Jesús un día, dirigiéndose a un grupo de religiosos que usaban el instrumento llamado "palabra" para destruir vidas. Hoy, viene Salomón y dice: "la dulzura de labios aumenta el saber". / Words! Words! Words! "For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned" *, Jesus said one day, addressing a group of religious who used the instrument called "word" to destroy lives. Today, Solomon comes and says: "gracious words promote instruction".

Los fariseos a quienes Jesús se dirigía aquel día, tal vez no estaban airados al hablar, pero ciertamente estaban completamente equivocados en la manera de decir las cosas. Y si es verdad que "de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca", entonces el problema de los fariseos no estaba en la boca, sino en el corazón. / The Pharisees to whom Jesus was addressing that day may not have been angry when they spoke, but they were certainly completely wrong in the way they said things. And if it is true that "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks", then the Pharisees' problem was not in the mouth, but in the heart.

El otro día fui al médico. Me preguntó qué sentía. Le dije que me estaba sintiendo cansado físicamente. El médico me hizo sentar y dijo: "Abra la boca y muéstreme la lengua" . Dentro de mí pensé: "¿Qué tiene que ver el cansancio físico que estoy sintiendo con mi lengua?" / The other day I went to the doctor. He asked me what I felt. I told him that I was feeling physically tired. The doctor made me sit down and said, "Open your mouth and show me your tongue." Inside me I thought: "What does the physical fatigue that I am feeling have to do with my tongue?"

En la vida espiritual, también es así. La lengua, el modo como usamos la palabra, revela lo que hay en el corazón. Si tú no tienes una experiencia viva con Dios y El no puso en orden tu mundo interior, ¿cómo pueden tus palabras ser dulces y edificantes? / In the spiritual life, it is also like that. The tongue, the way we use the word, reveals what is in the heart. If you do not have a living experience with God and He did not put your inner world in order, how can your words be sweet and uplifting?

En el versículo de hoy, el autor comienza diciendo: "El sabio de corazón ... " y después menciona la dulzura de la palabra. Se confirma así la relación directa entre el corazón y las cosas que decimos y cómo las decimos. / In today's verse, the author begins by saying: "The wise in heart..." and then mentions the gracious words. This confirms the direct relationship between the heart and the things we say and how we say them.

Hubo un hombre en el primer siglo, que usaba sus palabras y actitudes para atacar y perseguir a los cristianos. Un día, en camino hacia Damasco, se encontró con Jesús y a partir de ese instante su boca se transformó en un instrumento para anunciar las buenas nuevas de salvación. Su nombre era Saulo de Tarso. Transformado, pasó a llamarse Pablo. / There was a man in the first century, who used his words and attitudes to attack and persecute Christians. One day, on the way to Damascus, he met Jesus and from that moment on his mouth became an instrument to announce the good news of salvation. His name was Saul of Tarsus. Transformed, he was renamed Pablo.

Todos podemos encontrarnos diariamente con Jesús, y ser sabios. El corazón del hombre sabio es un manantial de bendiciones. Sus palabras son agua fresca para aliviar el cansancio de la gente que sufre por causa de las presiones de este mundo injusto. / We can all meet Jesus daily, and be wise. The heart of the wise man is a spring of blessings. His words are fresh water to relieve the fatigue of people who suffer from the pressures of this unfair world.

¿Te gustaría ser un manantial de bendiciones? ¿Podrías proponerte en tu corazón usar tus palabras, consciente y decididamente, para curar heridas, aliviar dolores y restaurar a los tristes? Acuérdate que: "El sabio de corazón es llamado prudente, y la dulzura de labios aumenta el saber". / Would you like to be a spring of blessings? Could you purpose in your heart to use your words, consciously and decisively, to heal wounds, alleviate pain and restore the sad? Remember that: "The wise in heart are called discerning, and gracious words promote instruction".

Pues tu amor es tan grande que rebasa los cielos; ¡tu verdad llega hasta el firmamento!. Salmos 108:4. / For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Psalms 108:4.

 

La noche nunca le pareció tan oscura y triste como aquella noche. Las tinieblas eran densas no solamente afuera. Dentro de sí la oscuridad era más tenebrosa: tristeza, vacío, desesperanza, confusión. ¿Qué sentido tenía vivir de esa manera? La belleza física, que era causa de admiración, parecía una maldición. Lo que al principio le parecía apenas sed loca de aventura, hoy era un tobogán que la llevaba en dirección a la muerte. / The night never seemed so dark and sad as that night. The darkness was thick not only outside. Inside her the darkness was darker: sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, confusion. What was the point of living that way? Physical beauty, which was cause for admiration, seemed like a curse. What at first seemed just a crazy thirst for adventure, today was a slide that took her in the direction of death.

 

De repente, en la oscuridad brilló la luz. Inesperada, milagrosa, súbita. Vino en forma de música. Notas maravillosas que la trasladaron a un mundo desconocido. Palabras que describían su trágica experiencia, terminaron trayendo esperanza a su angustiado corazón. / Suddenly, in the darkness, light shone. Unexpected, miraculous, sudden. It came in the form of music. Wonderful notes that took her to an unknown world. Words that described her tragic experience ended up bringing hope to her anguished heart.

 

Mientras salía del estadio, aquella noche, ella corrió a mi lado y emocionada casi gritó su gratitud. Lloraba. Sentía que las lágrimas lavaban su alma. Había mucha basura e inesperadamente se sentía perdonada. "Gracias por hablarme del amor de Dios -dijo-. Nunca pensé que la misericordia divina fuese tan grande". / As I was leaving the stadium that night, she ran to my side and excitedly almost shouted her gratitude. She cried. She felt that the tears were washing her soul. There was a lot of trash and unexpectedly she felt forgiven. "Thank you for telling me about God's love," she-she said. I never thought divine mercy would be so great.

 

¡Ah, misericordia divina! ¿Qué sería de ti y de mí si el amor de Dios no fuese más grande que los cielos? / Ah, divine mercy! What would become of you and me if the love of God were not greater than the heavens?

 

Los cielos son usados muchas veces para expresar la inmensidad, la vastedad. Los cielos no pueden ser medidos. Es algo que la mente humana no puede entender. En el texto de hoy, el salmista expresa que la misericordia es más grande todavía que los cielos. / The skies are used many times to express the immensity, the vastness. The heavens cannot be measured. It is something that the human mind cannot understand. In today's text, the psalmist expresses that mercy is even greater than the heavens.

 

La misericordia de Dios hace que no recibamos lo que merecemos. Nos libra de la consecuencia fatal del pecado, que es la muerte. Todos pecamos y por lo tanto, merecemos morir. Constantemente, a cada instante, estamos tomando decisiones equivocadas. Buscando el bien, escogemos el mal y comenzamos a morir. Por su misericordia, el Señor quita de nosotros la sentencia de muerte. Por eso, haz de este día, un día de gratitud. Olvida el pasado, vive el presente con sabiduría y mira al futuro con esperanza, aunque las cosas parezcan escapar a tu control. A pesar de que el dolor golpee a la puerta de tu corazón y te asfixie, cree en el amor de Dios. "Porque más grande que los cielos es tu misericordia, y hasta los cielos tu verdad". / God's mercy makes us not receive what we deserve. He frees us from the fatal consequence of sin, which is death. We all sin and therefore deserve to die. Constantly, at every moment, we are making wrong decisions. Seeking good, we choose evil and begin to die. By His mercy, the Lord removes the sentence of death from us. Therefore, make this day a day of gratitude. Forget the past, live wisely in the present, and look to the future with hope, even when things seem out of your control. Despite the fact that pain knocks on the door of your heart and suffocates you, believe in God's love. "For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies."

Hijo mío, no te olvides de mi ley, y tu corazón guarde mis mandamientos. Proverbios 3:1. / My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, Proverbs 3:1.

La vida es un proceso de aprendizaje. No se limita a un período de tiempo, ni al seguimiento de un calendario académico. El aprendizaje es diario, constante y permanente. Dejar de aprender es dejar de vivir. Viven bien los que aprenden bien, y aprenden bien los que tienen como maestro a Alguien que no puede fallar. Jesús es ese Maestro. / Life is a learning process. It is not limited to a period of time, nor to following an academic calendar. Learning is daily, constant and permanent. To stop learning is to stop living. Those who learn well live well, and those whose teacher is Someone who cannot fail, learn well. Jesus is that Master.

Muchas veces, dirigiendo mi automóvil en una ciudad desconocida, tuve que detenerme para buscar orientación. Algunas veces me indicaron el camino equivocado. Me llevó tiempo descubrir el error y cambiar la dirección. Nerviosismo, enfado y frustración fueron las consecuencias. / Many times, driving my car in an unfamiliar city, I had to stop to look for directions. Sometimes they pointed me the wrong way. It took me time to discover the mistake and change the address. Nervousness, anger and frustration were the consequences.

En el proverbio de hoy, el Señor se presenta como el gran Maestro de la vida. Es el padre preocupado por la felicidad del hijo. "Hijo mío, no te olvides de mi ley", aconseja. Lo que más quiere Dios es que tú seas un hombre o mujer que aprende cómo ser feliz. / In today's proverb, the Lord presents himself as the great Teacher of life. He is the father concerned about the happiness of the son. "My son, do not forget my teaching" He advises. What God wants most is for you to be a man or woman who learns how to be happy.

El mayor problema en el proceso del aprendizaje es el olvido. Tú estudias con dedicación, pero a la hora del examen parece que todo desaparece de tu mente. Tú te olvidas. No recuerdas y eres reprobado. / The biggest problem in the learning process is forgetting. You study with dedication, but at exam time it seems that everything disappears from your mind. You forget. You do not remember and you are disapproved.

La vida está llena de exámenes, de pruebas. Pasadas exitosamente es garantía de felicidad. Én esos momentos es muy importante "recordar" todo lo que te fue enseñado y tomar decisiones acertadas. / Life is full of exams, tests. Passed successfully is a guarantee of happiness. In those moments it is very important to "remember" everything that was taught to you and make the right decisions.

Es interesante notar que Salomón relaciona el aprendizaje con el corazón. "Hijo mío, no te olvides" dice. Evidentemente, aquí apela a las facultades de la mente, pero enseguida añade que "tu corazón guarde mis mandamientos". Ésta es una referencia explícita a los sentimientos. Es que el ser humano es una unidad indivisible. Mente, corazón y cuerpo no pueden separarse. No basta creer en Dios, es necesario obedecer. Saber es fundamental, sentir es básico. / It is interesting to note that Solomon associates learning with the heart. "My son, don't forget" he says. Obviously, here he appeals to the faculties of the mind, but immediately adds that "your heart keep my commands". This is an explicit reference to feelings. It is that the human being is an indivisible unit. Mind, heart and body cannot be separated. It is not enough to believe in God, it is necessary to obey. Knowing is fundamental, feeling is basic.

Si el aprendizaje es un proceso, no te desanimes. Mientras vivas estarás en condiciones de aprender. A veces con lágrimas y dolor, otras veces con alegría y satisfacción. Tropezando unas veces en las piedras del camino, o levantándote y sacudiéndote el polvo. Pero es imperioso continuar, porque la vida es así. Por eso, Dios afirma: "Hijo mío, no te olvides de mi ley, y tu corazón guarde mis mandamientos". / If learning is a process, don't be discouraged. As long as you live you will be able to learn. Sometimes with tears and pain, other times with joy and satisfaction. Stumbling a few times on the stones on the road, or getting up and brushing off the dust. But it is imperative to continue, because life is like that. For this reason, God affirms: "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart"
