La gloria del rey ama el juicio; tú confirmarás la rectitud; tú has hecho en Jacob juicio y justicia. Salmos 99:4. / The King is mighty, he loves justice— you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right. Psalms 99:4.
¿Estás triste porque alguien cometió una injusticia contra ti? Piensa en el consejo bíblico de hoy. Vivimos en un mundo de injusticias. A cada rato tú te encuentras con situaciones que rebelan tu espíritu. Los jueces yerran. No tanto por incapacidad, sino por la fragilidad de las leyes humanas. El que tiene dinero contrata abogados expertos que se aferran a una letra de la misma ley, para burlar la justicia. / Are you sad because someone did an injustice against you? Think about today's Bible advice. We live in a world of injustices. Every so often you find yourself in situations that rebel your spirit. The judges err. Not so much because of incapacity, but because of the fragility of human laws. He who has money hires expert lawyers who cling to a letter of the same law, to evade justice.
Esta conducta de injusticia que permea nuestra cultura, nos hace de alguna forma, también injustos. ¿Quién no trata de obtener ventaja de cualquier circunstancia? ¿Quién no se ve tentado a burlar, aunque sea levemente, las normas establecidas para la convivencia sana de la sociedad? / This conduct of injustice that permeates our culture makes us, in some way, also unfair. Who does not try to take advantage of any circumstance? Who is not tempted to circumvent, even slightly, the norms established for the healthy coexistence of society?
El poder hace a las personas más injustas todavía. Alguien dijo: "Si tú quieres conocer de verdad a una persona, entrégale el poder". Y es verdad, el poder confunde, ofusca la visión, distorsiona el carácter, o tal vez crea las condiciones propicias para que la verdadera personalidad se revele. / Power makes people even more unfair. Someone said: "If you really want to know a person, give him/her the power." And it is true, power confuses, obscures vision, distorts character, or perhaps creates favorable conditions for the true personality to reveal itself.
En el texto de hoy, el salmista menciona a Dios como poder, justicia y equidad. Dios es la fuente de la verdadera justicia. Es imposible ejercer justicia sin el temor de Dios. Es inútil querer practicar justicia, separado de Dios. / In today's text, the psalmist mentions God as power, justice and equity. God is the source of true justice. It is impossible to exercise justice without the fear of God. It is useless to want to practice justice, separated from God.
Lejos de Dios, el poder hace que la persona sea injusta, abusiva y arbitraria. Cualquier poder que no proviene de Dios, es destructivo y subyugador. El verdadero líder no es aquel que ejerce el poder sobre sus liderados, sino aquel que administra el poder para hacerlos felices. Entonces ellos lo seguirán voluntariamente. / Far from God, power makes the person unfair, abusive and arbitrary. Any power that does not come from God is destructive and overpowering. The true leader is not the one who exercises power over his/her led, but the one who manages power to make them happy. Then they will follow you willingly.
Así fue como Jesús conquistó el corazón de la humanidad. El hecho de ser Dios le daría el derecho a obligar a todo el mundo a seguirlo, pero El murió como siervo y con su muerte conquistó multitudes. De un puñado de seguidores, en la hora de su muerte, nacieron millones que hoy lo siguen espontáneamente. / This is how Jesus conquered the hearts of humanity. The fact of being God would give him the right to force the whole world to follow him, but he died as a servant and with his death he conquered multitudes. From a handful of followers, at the time of his death, millions were born who today follow him spontaneously.
¿Para qué sirve tener el poder en las manos? ¿Qué tipo de líder eres tú? ¿Hacia dónde vas? ¿Qué pretendes? ¿Cuáles son los objetivos de tu vida? Antes de iniciar tus actividades hoy, dile a Dios en tu corazón: "La gloria del rey ama el juicio; tú confirmarás la rectitud; tú has hecho en Jacob juicio y justicia" / What is the use of having power in your hands? What kind of leader are you? Where are you going? What do you want? What are your life goals? Before you start your activities today, say to God in your heart: "The King is mighty, he loves justice— you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right"
