Porque Dios abomina al perverso; mas su comunión íntima es con los justos. Proverbios 3:32. / For the Lord detests the perverse; but takes the upright into His confidence. Proverbs 3:32
El versículo de hoy dice que Dios trata a los rectos con intimidad. Atila Onassis, la mujer más rica del mundo, se casó no hace mucho con Alvaro Alfonso de Miranda, un deportista ecuestre brasileño. La ceremonia y el banquete fueron íntimos, solo para los amigos más allegados. Había gente que hubiera pagado cualquier suma de dinero para conseguir una invitación, y poder decir después que pertenecía al círculo Íntimo de la famosa pareja. / Today's verse says that God treats the upright with intimacy. Atila Onassis, the richest woman in the world, recently married Alvaro Alfonso de Miranda, a Brazilian equestrian athlete. The ceremony and banquet were intimate, for only the closest of friends. There were people who would have paid any sum of money to get an invitation, and be able to say later that she/he belonged to the Inner circle of the famous couple.
¿Quién no se sentiría halagado sabiendo que pertenece al círculo íntimo de una celebridad?
Dios también tiene su círculo íntimo formado por sus favoritos, y esto no es injusticia. Injusto sería si El escogiese quiénes serán sus favoritos. Pero Dios no los escoge. Son las personas las que escogen vivir una vida de sabiduría y rectitud, y como resultado de esta decisión ingresan al círculo Íntimo del Señor. / Who wouldn't be flattered knowing that they belong to the inner circle of a celebrity? God also has His inner circle made up of His favorites, and this is not injustice. It would be unfair if He chose who will be His favorites. But God does not choose them. It is the people who choose to live a life of wisdom and rectitude, and as a result of this decision they enter the Intimate circle of the Lord.
En el versículo de hoy, el Rey del universo, el Creador de los cielos y de la tierra, invita a todos los seres humanos a formar parte de ese círculo. La rectitud es "la invitación" que todos deben presentar para poder ingresar. Rectitud, no como fruto del esfuerzo humano o de la disciplina interior, sino como resultado de escoger voluntariamente formar parte de aquellos que buscan a Jesús. / In today's verse, the King of the universe, the Creator of heaven and earth, invites all human beings to be part of that circle. Righteousness is "the invitation" that everyone must present in order to enter. Righteousness, not as a result of human effort or internal discipline, but as a result of voluntarily choosing to be part of those who seek Jesus.
En la Biblia nunca se presenta la rectitud, la buena conducta o la santidad, como el resultado de la auto disciplina. Los frutos humanos son de plástico, artificiales. Son imitaciones baratas, remedos grotescos que satisfacen solamente el ego desequilibrado de la criatura.
En la Biblia, la santidad es el resultado del compañerismo diario con Jesús. / Righteousness, good conduct, or holiness is never presented in the Bible as the result of self-discipline. Human fruits are plastic, artificial. They are cheap imitations, grotesque imitations that satisfy only the unbalanced ego of the creature. In the Bible, holiness is the result of daily fellowship with Jesus.
Jesús es quien perdona, transforma y conduce al pecador, sacándolo del polvo y llevándolo finalmente a reflejar su carácter. En aquel día, cuando los ángeles, en la puerta del salón de fiestas del reino de los cielos, vean aproximarse a alguien del círculo Íntimo de Dios, no necesitarán siquiera pedirle la invitación. El rostro les será familiar, la persona conocida, porque todos los días separaba tiempo para orar y meditar en la Palabra de Dios. / Jesus is the one who forgives, transforms and leads the sinner, taking him out of the dust and finally leading him to reflect his character. On that day, when the angels, at the door of the banquet hall of the kingdom of heaven, see someone from God's Intimate circle approaching, they will not even need to ask for an invitation. The face will be familiar to them, the familiar person, because every day she/he set aside time to pray and meditate on the Word of God.
En contrapartida, el Señor "abomina al perverso", dice el versículo de hoy y perverso es el hombre que siempre anduvo en sus propios caminos, sin tener consideración de los consejos divinos. Hoy puede ser un día de intimidad con Jesús. Anda con él por los caminos que la vida te presenta hoy y recuerda: "Porque Dios abomina al perverso; mas su comunión íntima es con los justos". / On the other hand, the Lord " detests the perverse", says today's verse, and the perverse is the man who always walked in his own ways, without considering divine advice. Today can be a day of intimacy with Jesus. Walk with Him on the paths that life presents you today and remember: "For the Lord detests the perverse; but takes the upright into His confidence."
